Graduate Management Admission Test GMAT
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) plays a significant role in determining your admissions, scholarships, assistantships and other grants if you aspire to study MBA or doctoral programs in Management/ Business stream in the US.
Preparing for the GMAT is very tough and exciting, no doubt. Many people plan to prepare for it and find it nerve-racking as they begin because they fail to follow the educated and systematic approach. In fact securing a high score on the GMAT relies on rigorous result-oriented hard work. Like in Physics, a person holding a heavy baggage without any motion does not indicate work, you might be working very hard with little improvements. The full score of GMAT is 800 (excluding 6.0 in analytical writing section) and 500 (excluding a score of 4.0 in analytical writing section) is considered the minimum requirement for the college admission. GMAT score is valid for five years.
Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test KUUMAT
KUUMAT stands for Kathmandu University Undergraduate Management Admission Test. It is the first phase of admission test for admission into KU's undergraduate programs (BBA,BBIS and BHTM). After Passing KUUMAT you will be eligible to apply for admission in KUSOM and affiliated colleges of KU. This test is for those who want to pursue their higher studies in BBA, BBIS and BHTM.
KUUMAT will be based on the following assessment domains: General SAT, SAT Mathematics Test. A set of sample questions for KUUMAT is attached with the application blank for KUUMAT. KUUMAT eligibility test will be a pen and paper written test. The KUUMAT shall comprise of a single test, comprising of both the assessment domains. The test shall consist of multiple choice items.

Tribhuvan University faculty of Management conducts Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) for the applicants aspiring to join various Bachelors programs like Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) / Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) and Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM).
The examination will follow the standard testing patterns and may include areas like:
> Verbal Ability
> Quantative Ability
> Logical Reasoning
> General Awareness
There shall be altogether one hundred (100) objective questions in the CMAT containing twenty (25) questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. Applicants must secure a minimum of 40% in the CMAT in order to qualify for the interview.
GlossaPREP conducts CMAT preparation courses for 60 hours in a period of six weeks with two hours per day (one hour for verbal and one hour for quantitative section) from Monday to Friday. The students will be provided with required study materials and exercise sheets based on the test format. Every Sunday, mock tests are administered by the faculty and the test papers are assessed by qualified examiners before they are returned. School of Management Admission Test SOMAT
Tribhuvan University School of Management (SOM) conducts SOMAT as a placement requirement for the applicants who wish to enroll on MBA program. The test is based on real GMAT contents but the number of questions and the mode of the test will be different from that of the real GMAT setting. GMAT is a computer based, adaptive test where as SOMAT is a paper based test and it is linear in nature. SOMAT is generally conducted twice in a year: December-January for the spring term and August - September for the fall term. During the screening process, the applicants shall be screened in each of the stages.
Students will receive a detail course plan on the day of orientation class once their admission is confirmed.

It is based on real GMAT contents but the number of questions and the mode of the test will be different from that of the real GMAT setting. GMAT is a computer based, adaptive test where as KUMAT is a paper based test and it is linear in nature. KUMAT is generally conducted twice in a year: December-January for the spring term and August - September for the fall term.
